Trump Delays Housing Bill Signing Demanding Action On SAVE America Act

By: Cameron Arcand | Townhall President Donald Trump headed to Capitol Hill on Wednesday to stress his request for the SAVE America Act to pass. Trump was scheduled to arrive on the Hill earlier in the day to sign a bipartisan housing policy bill, but he canceled the signing until after the federal elections proposal makes it to his desk.  “Every election is important… They want a lot of communists to come in,” Trump said before the meeting. https://twitter.com/cspan/status/2069832157527208318 The elections bill has passed the House but continues to have a few Republican holdouts and Democratic backlash in the Senate, which is making it difficult to get the bill through.  READ THE FULL ARTICLE AT TOWNHALL

Repeated Brush Fires Near Aurora RTD Station Spark Arson Investigation

By Michael Abeyta | CBS Colorado Over the last two weeks, fires have popped up in an open space area in the eastern part of the Denver metro area very close to homes. Aurora Fire Rescue says they are being investigated as intentionally set fires. The fires are happening near RTD's Dayton Station just north of Interstate 225. Aurora Fire says they and the Denver Fire Department have responded to several vegetation fires in the area recently because the City of Aurora, City of Denver and City of Greenwood Village share jurisdictional boundaries around the RTD station. Aurora investigators believe the first fire happened around 5 p.m. on June 10. On that day there were two or three separate fires burning. The most recent incident was a fire on Friday June 19. There...

Colorado Secretary of State now prosecutes Pueblo Democrats in bingo finance case it dismissed

By Jen Schumann | Rocky Mountain Voice The Colorado Secretary of State's office dismissed the complaint. Now, after a judge sent the case back, the state itself is the one prosecuting it. On June 15, the office's Elections Division filed its own complaint against the Pueblo County Democrat Party. The complaint alleges the Pueblo County Democrat Party failed to report contributions and expenditures tied to its affiliated Central Committee and its bingo-funded headquarters. 2026.06.15 - AHO Complaint_Pueblo County Democratic Party (1)Download The filing advances a case Pueblo resident Jonathan Ambler spent nearly two years building: that the party financed operations through an affiliated nonprofit and its bingo operation without reporting that activity in state campa...

What World Cup visitors discovered beyond America’s headlines

By Mikale Olson | Commentary, The Christian Post Something has happened over the last week that I never expected, and I say that regretfully. I say it regretfully because I, like so many other Americans, had all but forgotten how truly remarkable this country is. And not just the country itself, with the architecture of our cities and the breathtaking landscapes of our national parks. I’m talking about the people. We the people. I had truly forgotten how distinctly amazing the citizens of the United States are. And of all things, what did it take to remind me of this? A bunch of Europeans traveling here for the World Cup, to, oddly enough, enjoy a sport that Americans aren’t necessarily all that fond of. That’s right. The biggest soccer, or football (I’m rolling my eyes ...

Boulder prepares for Sundance as housing rules face a real-world test

By Jon Caldara | Commentary, Complete Colorado There are few things more satisfying to watch than socialists getting mugged by reality. The Sundance Film Festival is invading my hometown of Boulder early next year. Sundance drew 85,000 attendees last year in Park City, Utah. Boulder’s hotel room inventory is about 2,900. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Hollywood’s anti-capitalist elite collide with basic supply and demand, we’re about to find out. When things don’t go as planned, the planner-class doubles down on its religion: more planning. When restrictions, rules, permits and fees don’t produce the desired outcome, more restrictions, rules, permits and fees are needed. Sundance is an event for and by well-heeled, artsy, socialist elites. So, Boulder is perfe...

Attorneys No Longer Required to Sign Immigration Certification in Colorado Courts

By Nico Brambila | Colorado Politics One year and 12 days. That’s how long a Colorado law requiring attorneys to certify they would not use court data for federal immigration enforcement remained on the books before lawmakers repealed it. Gov. Jared Polis signed the initial legislation, Senate Bill 25-276, on May 23, 2025. That legislation extended to the courts a law prohibiting disclosure of information for the purpose of assisting in federal immigration enforcement. The governor signed the modification to that law via House Bill 26-1276 on June 4. That modification exempted the Colorado courts’ e-filing system from the requirement that users certify they would not disclose information for the purpose of federal immigration enforcement. M...

Trump Maintains GOP Kingmaker Status as Mamdani Expands Influence in New York

By Ben Whedon | Just the News Mamdani’s wins seem to have established him as an increasingly potent force in shaping the direction of the Democratic Party moving forward while Trump’s merely reasserted his kingmaker status within the GOP. President Donald Trump’s last minute double endorsement of both candidates in the South Carolina Republican runoff helped him to avoid what would have been a crushing defeat on Tuesday evening. At the same time, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s preferred candidates managed to dominate their Democratic primaries and even oust prominent members of the conference. Mamdani’s wins seem to have established him as an increasingly potent force in shaping the direction of the Democratic Party moving forward while Trump’s merely reasserte...
